Sitting atop a hill located side by side with SK Convent School in Tanah Rata, Heritage Hotel and Greenhill Resort are situated at a height of 1,500 meters above sea level. That makes it the same height as Brinchang town even though it is located at Tanah Rata.
Coming up the main road to Tanah Rata, you can see its Tudor style architecture jutting out prominently from the road. It is surrounded by lush tropical forest; however the tall structure means you do not really feel the tropical surrounding. Depending on your room location, you may get a good panoramic view of Tanah Rata town.
As usual, the Tudor styled architecture is a must-have to evoke the ambience of an old English countryside. Very much the theme of Cameron Highland.
The entry to Heritage Hotel and Greenhill Resort is at the north-western end of Tanah Rata. Just above the road, you can see the old Roman Catholic SK Convent School. As you reached the entry gate to the hotel resort grounds, there is a junction to the left that leads to a budget accommodation called Father's Guesthouse which you can read my review if you are looking for really, really cheap accommodation.
Heritage Hotel and Greenhill resort are very conveniently located, so it is quite an easy walk down the hill to the heart of Tanah Rata town.
The Heritage Hotel and Greenhill Resort shares the same grounds. Heritage Hotel provides normal hotel rooms while Greenhill resort caters to visitors who would like to have more space by staying in apartment. Greenhill is managed under the Berjaya Leisure Holidays and they have affiliate membership with RCI (Resorts Condominiums International). So if you have a vacation club membership that includes RCI membership option, you may want book through RCI. They sometimes have very good offers and promotions which you might want to take advantage.
Here's a little not so well known secret if you are roaming around the Heritage Hotel grounds. I happen to walk into this quaint little garden located behind the hotel. You can see it when you go to their Jasmine Garden Chinese Restaurant. It is well tended and landscaped with bushes and archways with plants and creepers growing around it. Makes a nice little labyrinth of sorts but don't worry, you won't get lost in it! There is a nice pool with some stone paths and a little bridge crossing over it. So bring along your camera and your girlfriend or boyfriend or if you are already married, your family and little ones and snap some memorable photos! You will enjoy it!
