Sometimes I will do some research and find some interesting bits of info which I have not included into my main website just yet. But just so I can get info out, I would post it in the Cameron-Highland-Destination blog.
Sometimes I will just post some other bits of information maybe distantly related to Cameron Highlands, or just post some nice nature photography.
Since my posting would be irregular, you may find the blog unchanged. And having to come every so often just to check whether any recent updates was posted would be just time wasting (unless you have plenty of time to spare, yes?).
So what better way to keep abreast of any updates then to use an RSS feed. If you are new to this, then you will be asking: What is RSS?
It took me two weeks to understand such a simple thing as RSS. I considered myself to be pretty technically versed. Well some concept takes a little longer to grasp even though it is really easy to use actually. You may even understand the concept faster than I did.
If you already know what RSS stands for, than there is no need to read further. Just jump straight down to the RSS symbol and copy the url shortcut and paste it to your favorite RSS Reader.
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way of pulling information from a site using a reader that can read RSS XML codes. Pulling the information is what they call as "feeds". By copying and pasting the RSS url to your reader; ie. Subscribing to it, your RSS reader can pull the information by periodically checking for any updated news or info.
In order to receive feeds, you will need to install a reader.
Here are two free RSS Reader which you might try:
Then, after installing the software, all you need do is copy this RSS url:
And paste it onto the Add Subscription or New Subscription section of the RSS reader.
You could also use the Mozilla Thunderbird, which not only can it be used as an email client, it could double as a RSS Reader too.
On the other hand, if you prefer not to install anymore software than is necessary; and you are already using My Yahoo!, you can easily add a feed to your My Yahoo! Page by just clicking on this
You can do the same with MSN too:
Or, we can do it the old fashion way: Subscribe to an email newsletter; such as the form below. I promise the email you give out will be treated in the strictest confidentiality and will only be used to inform about the latest update on my blog or websites.
Any method that you choose to keep informed, I sincerely thank you for your interest as I slowly build up my website to encompass as much great and useful info about Cameron Highlands as my time permits.
Go on and make the trip to Cameron Highlands! You're likely to enjoy it!
I have two RSS blog feeds to choose from. One is related to the site updates which means that whenever I make a major modification to the site, a blog will be posted. While the other is general information blog from blogger at cameron-highland-destination.blogspot.com. Below is a preview of either feed. Feel to subscribe to any or both if you will.
