Arabella Holiday Home
I pickup a card flyer while in one Cameron Highlands' nurseries about a bungalow accommodation located in Arabella Tanah Rata and was thinking about posting it on my website. And just after I returned from my trip, surprised, surprise, Mr Low, owner of the bungalow contacted me and said he want to feature his accommodation on my website. I said, "Sure. No problem!" But then the year end work and church activities bog me down and I couldn't find the time to post it. Still it is better late than never!
Though I haven't had a chance to view the inside personally, I did pass by the place to have an outside look at it. This was not your typical old colonial bungalow, but a modern replica with Tudor style architecture. It was also build like an urban housing setting with a row of bungalows. It was meant to be a private dwelling. Mr Low has bought it with the intention as a retiring home. For now, instead of leaving it vacant, he is renting it out to people who would like to look for a reasonable priced accommodation house their family clan on a vacation trip to Cameron Highlands.
The bungalow sits on top of a hill with a commanding view of Cameron Highlands. Though the Arabella Apartments may block the view somewhat as each are located near to each other. While driving around here, I could spot the Fairlie Boh Tea Plantation in Habu!
There are four self-contained unit available. From the pictures in the flyer, it looks pretty simple. Furnished very much like the Arabella or Desa Anthurium Apartment. It gets the job done as all you need is a clean and well kept place to stay, with the required facilities like kitchen, hot showers, and Astro TV for night time entertainment!
Since this was a bungalow there's also ample garden space for children to run around in the compound. Even with the cool air I bet they will be sweating like mad with all the running around! Ah, children!
Depending on your unit, the cost is between RM200 to RM600 per night. I'm not sure how the kitchen unit is supposed to be shared out amongst the 4 units. According to the flyer, one unit comes with fully equipped kitchen.
Ok let's see what the flyer says:
- Four self-contained units available
- Private entrance
- Astro TV
- Instant hot water heaters
- Tea and breakfast making facilities
- Single and double beds with warm comforters
- Quality tile floors
- One unit with fully equipped kitchen
I guess if you need to clarify and find out more you will have to contact the person-in-charge, and that would be:
