The Galleria Time Tunnel with its big signboard! You won't miss it as you travel along the Kea Farm / Brinchang road.

The Galleria Time Tunnel Gallery was opened quite recently in Cameron Highlands. I got a chance to have a look-see what this tourism Malaysia travel destination attraction has to offer while having a short break during Malaysia's 50th Merdeka holiday break.

It was very easy to find as it was situated along the main trunk road between Kea Farm and Brinchang. There were some big signboards plastered along the way telling you about the availability of this "one of kind" gallery in Cameron Highlands. So you could not miss spotting this place. The Galleria Time Tunnel Gallery shares the same building structure with the Kok Lim Strawberry Farm and some souvenir shops.

The Time Tunnel Gallery holds many knick-knacks of yesteryears

After paying the entrance fee for both my wife and I, we entered the gallery. It has a simple layout stretching from the entrance to one of the building. The galleria has collected as much antiques and paraphernalia as they could find related to Cameron Highlands stretching way back to the early beginnings.

Many of the antique items I believe could have been obtained elsewhere from Malaysia, but was included here to add to the period atmosphere. No more the less these items could be obtained from the flea market but it did take awhile to collect them all.

What caught my eye, however, were the interesting old photographs of Cameron Highlands depicting Tanah Rata, Brinchang and several other places in the early days. Write-up about the discovery of Cameron Highlands by William Cameron was also included here. However, the Cameron Highlands history lesson from it was rather brief and you could probably get the same info from my Cameron-Highland-Destination.com website or various other guidebooks and newspaper articles.

The Jim Thompson enigma was also displayed here as well, with some very old magazines, photos about Jim Thompson and his mysterious disappearance were available here as well.

A couple of modern panoramic photographs showing the full splendor of the Cameron Highlands were displayed here as well.

This sight was rather simple, and it didn't take us long to finish viewing the Galleria Time Tunnel Gallery.

Conclusion: If you want to learn a little more about history and have a nostalgic moment with the old knick-knacks and old photographs about Cameron Highlands, then do visit it. But don't expect too much out of this Time Tunnel Gallery.
