Hotel Papillon Inn has been taken over by Father's Guesthouse as the previous owner mismanaged the place. I met up with Gerard and he explained that with his limited accommodation in Tanah Rata, he decided to take over Papillon Inn in order to house more backpackers. My, my, his place is sure getting very popular!
So if you prefer to bunk in here in Brinchang Point when making your booking with Father's Guest House now you have choice. Staying here you have easier access to the activities of this popular Brinchang town, perhaps the night market as well too if they have not shifted over to Tanah Rata by now.
Papillon Inn is located in the bend of Angsana Road. Since Brinchang Point is locate away from the main street of Brinchang you won't hear too much honking sound from passing traffic. In addition, from here you can easily walk over to the various delicious restaurants in Brinchang. Somehow, I felt that the number of interesting restaurants are more in this town.
And if you want, you can walk on over to Big Red Strawberry Farm and Cactus Valley further at the edge of Brinchang town.
Other interesting sights in Brinchang include the Indian Temple with the elaborate idol decorations and further in from a branch on the main road, you can visit the popular Sam Poh Kong Temple. However I think walking over to this temple might be a tad far. If you got good strong legs, you can give it try. I did see many happy walkers walking from Brinchang to Tanah Rata or even braving the steep hill from Brinchang to Multicrops Central Market.
As for me? I will take the car, thank you!
