Parkview Apartments, Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands.
Here's another apartment accommodation called the Parkview Apartments. This is actually an apartment converted for renting out to guests who might want to look for lodging that can accommodated the whole family. This contact was given to me by one of my Facebook friends. My, how the world connects!
He said his auntie had this Parkview Apartment in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands and since I have a web site, well I could help his aunt out. So here we go!
This Parkview Apartment is located in Tanah Rata at the corner of a T-junction diagonally opposite the Jurina Hill Lodge / Hillview Inn Bungalow. The unfortunate facing of the abandon building may look unsightly, well this kind of thing happens not only in Cameron Highlands but in many places around Malaysia.
From what I see about this Parkview Apartment, there is ample parking lot within the compound with fence and gate to secure the area, unfortunately the management only allows 1 car per apartment. So if you came in two or more cars, you may have some problem with parking for the extra cars.
Location wise it is very convenient and you could just walk out to Tanah Rata town area without having to drive out. If I could walk out from Greenhill Apartment / Heritage Hotel which has a greater distance, then this is kacang putih, in less than 5 minutes walking and you can be sitting in some Mamak shop sipping a hot cuppa teh tarik and having a nice hot plate of roti chanai with delicious curry. Good for warming up against the frigid cold weather, no?
For those who just prefer to lounge around in the apartment and fellowship with your family members or friends or just to plain lazy to go out (well it can happen, the weather is cool to cold and staying indoors seems like the right thing to do), the apartment is equipped with gas stove cooking facilities, and depending on which apartment you get, some may be equipped with a microwave too. Basic utensils like spoons, forks, plates, bowls, cups etc are also provided. Of course you can bring extra utensils of your own, just in case they don't have what you need. Check with them and see what is their full range of equipment than bring over those extras. Who knows, you might need a giant pot for cooking green peas drinks or steaming those crunchy sweet corns that you bought fresh from Kea Farm or some market in Cameron Highlands.
And after that, laze around on their sofa couch with Astro satellite cable TV on. If you have your own Astro subscription with full complete channels, you might consider bringing your own Astro card 'coz I believe theirs would not be providing the full range of channels. Don't forget to take back your Astro card when you leave!
The Parkview Apartments has three rooms and each comes with a bathroom. So no worries about your family members hogging the bathroom doing a karaoke with a nice hot shower. Don't bath too long and use up all the hot water! Unless the shower is the instant heater type, the tank types will require some time to replenish the hot water supply. Oh, ya, don't forget to bring your own soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, and towels as these would not be provided.
After your visit to Cameron Highlands is over, the management will have the apartment unit cleaned for the next guest. So you can rest assured the apartment you take in the unit is clean for your accommodation needs.
